The Dream Surf Truck is a simple fit for instant agility and smooth turning and just as with surfboards, where riders change fins for different feels and different wave types, Waterborne Skateboards Dream fin system surf skateboard trucks allow skaters to tune their ride for whatever kind of surf skating they’re in the mood for. The included Waterborne Skateboard ‘fin’ is a blue plastic wedge that sits in the Waterborne front surf adapter’s pivot arm. There are then three specific settings that deliver distinctive surf skate feels. These come as standard with 150mm width hangers but you can swap these out for other hangers from Caliber or Paris if for extra modding fun!

Super carve, 145* angle –
Setting your Waterborne fin to super carve mode gives enhanced agility, manoeuvrability and carving ability. If you’re a surf skater who loves laying it on a rail this is probably your preferred setting. Turning within a space less than the length of your surf skate setup is now possible!
Standard, 150* angle –
Removing the fin wedge sets the Waterborne surf adapter to its original angle of attack. This is the original geometric setting that Waterborne created for ultimate surf skating performance at the brand’s inception. With newer technology in the mix the standard setting still holds its own. Hybrid surf skating performance traits give this mode the perfect blend of carving and pumping ability. In the wider world of surf skateboarding riding a Waterborne Skateboards front surf adapter remains the benchmark for all other surf skates to be judged by.
Mega pump, 155* angle –
Setting your fin system wedge to mega pump allows riders to generate more efficient momentum through pumping. Cruising surf skaters apply here! You won’t be able to lean as hard as with other settings. But if pump cruising is your bag this is how to tune your ride. And, besides, this is still surf skating so don’t think the mega pump is any less fluid in the carving stakes – it isn’t. You’ll still be able to lay a rail and shred no problem.
Should you want to further enhance your surf skate setup there’s the option of adding Waterborne transition trucks, high rebound trucks, Living Water 62mm wheels, 59mm super carve wheels, bushings and decks. The ability to tinker, tune and set up your surf skateboard with Waterborne Skateboards products is almost endless. And yet, it all comes back to the same fluidity of riding that you get with all Waterborne products.
Technical notes –
There are two key differences between the original surf adapter and the Dream surf truck. It’s 0.20lbs lighter and the axle sits .75″ further back from the primary pivot. That means you get a greater caster effect, a cleaner turn and a cleaner aesthetic. It comes as standard with the fin system, so you can adjust the pivot angle on the fly. The Waterborne Skateboards Dream surf truck can also have its 150mm hanger swapped out with hangers from Caliber or Paris if you wish. (Surfkstateboard.shop supplies Paris trucks too).
Waterborne Skateboards Dream fin system surf skateboard trucks fill the gap between the original surf skate adapter and Waterborne complete surf skate setups.
