Surf Skateboard Shop team riders have spent winter 2023/2024 testing a whole raft of surf skating setups and Waterborne Skateboards products. In tandem with working on the new website (which you’re viewing now), we wanted to actually ride the gear. This is important on many levels. But the main one is so we can communicate the feels and performance effectively to you! We surf skate and have a passion for it. Therefore real world knowledge and on-the-ground experience are a must.

It may sound holier than thou but here at Surf Skateboard Shop there are three things we’re keen to communicate. After all, we’re not a faceless business simply in it for the cash. There are more lucrative industries if that were the case. Our core values are –

We surf skate – and love it!

It may sound like we’re banging the same drum over and over but we really want to push the message that we actually ride. Surf skating is something we can often be found indulging in. It complements our other activities and is super fun in its own right.

Over the last few months (2023 into early 2024) surf skateboarding has delivered even more reason to get outdoors and slide sideways on boards. Then having the ability to modify, customise and tweak our sleds has shown what’s possible. Check out the gallery images to get a flavour of this. (And thanks to our little helpers as well!).

Waterborn Skateboards.

Of course, as much as we’ve been playing with multiple different products, our main goal has been to see how Waterborne Skateboards surf adapters can switch up the performance of all manner of setups. Just what can you achieve by chopping and changing. And just how much fun can you have.

We fitted Waterborne surf and rail adapters to eSkateboards, longboards, mini decks and more standard surf skates. The whole experience has proved insightful. Taking these setups to skate parks, banks and flat lands has served up a wealth of experience. And we’re pretty confident we can guide customers towards their dream surf skateboard partner.
